Plein Air Painting in Maine - July 2022
Discover a love for plein air painting with me on the beautiful coast of Maine. The plein air tradition, popularized by the impressionists in France, is a wonderful way to embrace nature and enjoy your creative side out of doors. We will review basic fundamentals - value, composition, and color; learn how to paint within Mother Nature's time constraints; and pick up tricks of the trade for painting out of doors. This workshop is ideal for those who have not painted outside previously, and will be held at various locations in the Yarmouth, Maine area.
My goal in teaching is one-on-one instruction that you can take home and use on your own work. Beginners and intermediate painters are welcome, and the class is ideally suited to those who have not painted outside previously. Mediums include oil and acrylic.
