Oil Painting for the True Beginner
This 6 lesson class is for those who have not painted before, or who need a refresher on the basics. We start at the beginning, with the supplies and how to use them. You can progress at your own pace, step-by-step, with nothing left out. You will understand and master the basics of values and color mixing, including the terminology. You'll create your first painting and have a process to follow to make the second. Upon completing this class you can sign up for an intermediate painting class with confidence. The class is delivered online and is self-paced.

Plein Air Painting in Maine - Summer 2024
Have you been wondering what it's like to paint outside? Discover a love for plein air painting with me on the beautiful coast of Maine. The plein air tradition, popularized by the impressionists in France, is a wonderful way to embrace nature and enjoy your creative side out of doors. We'll review basic fundamentals - value, composition, and color; learn how to paint within Mother Nature's time constraints; and pick up tricks of the trade for painting out of doors. This workshop is ideal for those who have not painted outside previously.
My goal in teaching is one-on-one instruction that you can take home and use on your own work. Mediums include oils and acrylics. This workshop is not yet scheduled. Sign up for my email list at the bottom of this page and I'll let you know the details. |

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel, refunds for workshops held in the US are available up to 45 days prior to the workshop start date minus a $50 administration fee. There are no refunds for destination workshops.
