Painting From Photos Workshop
In this workshop we'll explore the fundamentals of landscape painting from photos; how to create a compelling composition from your photo; how light creates the value patterns in the landscape; how to create distance in your painting; and how to use the foreground to draw the viewer in. Students will develop one to two paintings in the workshop. For each one, we'll create a solid drawing and value composition, learn how to mix clean color, and how to match those colors to your values.
This workshop is for beginning and intermediate painters. Students may work in any two dimensional medium, the fundamentals are the same and the process is very similar. I will demonstrate in oil, acrylic, pastel, and water color, based on the student's preferences.
This class runs from 9-12 and 1-4 on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Unitarian Church Fellowship Hall in Harvard, MA. The General Store just down the hill is a great place to get lunch.
